A root canal is a treatment during which an infection in the root of a tooth is removed and then the root canal is carefully clean to avoid further complications.

When there is a decay of or injury to the blood/nerve supply of a tooth, a root canal is required in order to stop any infection that may be present from spreading. The root canal is a routine dental procedure and one we rely on to save a tooth. The treatment plan ideally includes one or two office visits. So, if you think you may be in need of a root canal, come into our office as soon as possible for expert care and to avoid the unsightly results of an untreated infection.
